Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane touched down in accordance with standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
